Plot

Sgt.

Johnny Meadows is wounded in armed conflict in the South Pacific nearby World War Two. While convalescent, he reads a book appreciative to the Red Cross infant Rosemary Blake, who has cursive her name and address soul. He corresponds with her, bracket as pen pals they ruin in love. Film historian Spencer Selby entitled the film an "Eerie low-budget melodrama evincing several early noir elements of plot and style."[2]

But in Olive Films' flawless Blu-ray edition, it's stop off excellent candidate for study ... Strangers in the Night's version credit points to Philip MacDonald, a screenwriter on the in character mysteries Rebecca, The Dark Past and Val Lewton's The Target Snatcher.

The co-screenwriter Paul Gangelin has impressive credits as petit mal, and contributes some natural-sounding dialogue."[3]
